Northport Elementary was built for kindergarten through fifth grade for the Tuscaloosa County Board of Education. The school was designed to fit on a 33-acre site and allow room for a future middle school. The building was arranged in parallel wings surrounding a courtyard that is fully developed for use as an outdoor teaching environment.
