Located in the heart of the city of Tuscaloosa and along a major thoroughfare near the University of Alabama, Central High School is the most visible high school in the county. With that in mind, the Tuscaloosa City Board of Education, along with the school’s students and parents, requested that the school be a unique and impressive building to exemplify the importance of education in the community. The 900-student building was arranged in a secure campus style and features a site layout that is conducive to community events.
