The facility is centrally located on a major intersection within the city of Tuscaloosa, providing the opportunity for “quick response”. The engine bay doors were specifically selected for their ability to open four to five times faster than traditional overhead doors. The use of skylights over the engine bays and living quarters help provide and open feeling through the use of natural light.
