Jackson County Innovation and Career Academy

138,000 Sq.Ft.

The Jackson County Innovation and Career Academy, totaling 138,000 square feet, will be a showcase facility for career and technical education in North Alabama. Located directly on Highway 72 in Hollywood, the center will serve the students of Jackson County Schools with over 15 unique educational programs. With intentionally exposed structure and visual connections between classrooms and associated lab spaces, as well between separate programs, the building itself is a large part of the educational experience. In addition to the career and technical education portion of the project, the building will house a 750-seat auditorium and a relocation of the school system’s central office. The facility is the brainchild of the late Mr. Kevin Dukes and is expected to open in late Spring 2023. A portion of the school is expected to memorialize Mr. Dukes, the former Jackson County Schools superintendent.
